The deadline for submissions to the 2008 IEEE Global Communications
Conference (IEEE GLOBECOM'08) has been extended until March 31, 2008
for the 11 Symposia, the Special Session on the History of
Telecommunications, the Design and Developers' Forum,
and the Tutorials. This has been done to minimize conflict with other
competing deadlines. The Call for Papers for all of these events
may be found at http://www.comsoc.org/confs/globecom/2008/.
The Conference will be held at the Hilton Riverfront Hotel in New Orleans from November 30 through December 4, 2008. The Hilton is
centrally located in downtown New Orleans, a safe area
virtually untouched by Hurricane Katrina. Just blocks from the
French Quarter, the Aquarium of the Americas, the IMAX Theater,
and many of New Orleans' most famous restaurants and jazz clubs,
the Hilton is an ideal center from which to explore the best
New Orleans has to offer. Due to its location, all of the
facilities necessary to make your visit a safe and memorably
enjoyable time have been in operation for some time and are ready
to welcome YOU to this New Orleans, one of the Great Cities of the
World. New Orleans has hosted many very successful conferences
within the past year, and we are confident that a great experience
awaits you.
We cordially invite you to join us for one of the premier conferences
in the area of Communications, IEEE GLOBECOM'08. As you know,
IEEE GLOBECOM has always been a leading technical conference
welcoming contributors from Academia and Industry. We hope that
you will take advantage of this deadline extension to submit a paper
and help us continue this legacy. We are also planning a great series of social events to introduce you (and your companion) to
all the best New Orleans has to offer, and we are confident that
when you return home you will regard IEEE GLOBECOM'08 as one of the
best conferences you have attended. So submit your paper now at
http://edas.info, join us in November, and Laissez le Bon Temps Roulez!
(Let the Good Times Roll!)
