[Apologies for possibly receiving multiple copies of this CFP.]
Dear colleagues,
Due to numerous requests, the paper submission deadline of the HPN
2008 has been extended to May 31, 2008 (firm).
You still have a few days to submit your paper to HPN 2008!
Accepted papers will be included in IEEExplore.
CALL FOR PAPERS
=============================
First International Workshop on High Performance Networks (HPN 2008)
http://www.it.fudan.edu.cn/sonic/hpn2008
18-19 October 2008, Shanghai, China
In conjunction with IFIP NPC 2008
Important Dates:
================
Extended deadline: May 31, 2008
Author notification: June 30, 2008
Camera-ready version: July 16, 2008
Workshop date: October 18-19, 2008
Overview:
=========
HPN2008, the International Workshop on High Performance Network, will
be held from 18 to 20, Oct. 2008. Shanghai is China's largest city.
HPN2008 serves as a forum for researchers and engineers to discuss
current challenges in high performance network and to present recent
work and research results.
Current network communications face the challenges of the limited
network resources, ever-increasing traffic,etc. The continuous
technological advances are expected to make network performance better.
This workshop will focus on various aspects of high performance network.
For instance, network coding hasemerged as an active research area
which reveals that packets traversing a network can be combined and
mixed rather than merely forwarded.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
===================================================
Network coding
* Network information theory
* Routers/switches and routing protocols
* Wireless network coding
High-speed transport protocols
* Terabits network provisioning
* Ultra high-speed traffic engineering/resource management
* Control and management planes
* Re-configurable infrastructure
High performance network applications
* Novel applications over terabit networks
* Large-scale peer-to-peer systems
* Interactive media services
Paper submission:
=================
Submitted papers must be unpublished and must not be currently under
review for any other journal or conference publication.Papers must be
clearly presented in English, must not exceed 8 pages. We recommend
that you use the IEEE transactions format. You can download them from
the official IEEE website.
All submissions will be handled electronically to 2008hpn@gmail.com
