The First IEEE International Workshop on Wireless Network Algorithms
(IEEE WiNA-08)
December 9, 2008, Yilan, Taiwan
Full Paper Due: (15 July 2008)
http://wina2008.csie.chu.edu.tw/
Workshop on Wireless Networks Algorithms (WiNA-08), as an international
workshop, is devoted to deeper understanding in the algorithms and
fundamental problems of wireless networks including mobile ad hoc networks,
wireless sensor networks, vehicular ad hoc networks, underwater sensor
networks, and all kinds of multi-hop wireless networks. The workshop is
intended to encourage cooperation among researchers in wireless networking
algorithms, and push the theoretical and practical research forward for a
deeper understanding in the fundamental algorithm, modeling, and analysis
techniques of wireless networks.
All submissions must describe original research, not published or currently
under review for another workshop, conference, or journal. WiNA-08 is in
conjunction with IEEE Asia-Pacific Services Computing Conference (IEEE APSCC
2008) and all accepted papers will be published by IEEE Computer Society (EI
Index). Electronic submission of manuscripts (in PDF or Word format) is
required. The length of the camera-ready manuscripts will be limited to 6
pages (IEEE Proceedings style). All submissions will be evaluated for
originality, significance, clarity, and soundness. Each paper will be
reviewed by at least two to three researchers in the topic area. At least
one author of each accepted paper is required to register and present the
paper at the conference. The enhanced version of the best-quality selected
papers may be invited for publication in the special issue of international
journals.
Workshop Topics (include but are not limited to the following)
-Algorithms for wireless networks including mobile ad hoc networks
wireless sensor networks, vehicular ad hoc networks, underwater sensor
networks, and any kind of multi-hop wireless networks
-Theoretical graph and geometric models for multiple-hop wireless networks
Complexity analysis of algorithms for wireless mobile environments
-Data and resource management in wireless mobile networks
-Routing algorithms and strategies in multi-hop wireless networks
-Power optimization strategies in mobile wireless networks.
-Throughput, capacity, and delay analysis on mobile wireless networks.
-Clustering and cooperative strategies in mobile multi-hop wireless networks
-Coverage and survivability problems in wireless sensor networks
-Modeling for tracking and locating mobile users
-Information theory and network coding for multi-hop wireless networks
-Security, privacy, and cryptographic protocols for multi-hop wireless
networks
Important dates of WiNA-08
