*** CALL FOR WORKSHOPS - Deadline: September 8, 2008 ***
The 11th IFIP/IEEE International Symposium on Integrated Network Management (IM 2009) will be held on 1 - 5 June 2009 at Columbia University in New York, New York, USA. The IM series of conferences has been held in odd-numbered years since 1989 (taking turns with its sibling conference NOMS), and has established itself as the main venue for original research in the area of management, operations and control of networks, networking services, networked applications, and distributed systems. The symposium is sponsored by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) Working Group 6.6 on Management of Networks and Distributed Systems, and by the IEEE Communications Society Technical Committee on Network Operations and Management (CNOM).
Workshops on specialized topics will be held on the days before (June 1st) and after (June 5th) the IM technical program. Workshop proposals are solicited. They will be reviewed by the IM 2009 Technical Program Committee.
A proposal to organize a full-day workshop should contain the following information:
- A draft of the CFP (includes title, description, topics and dates)
- Why is the topic area important?
- Likely contributors and target audience
- Organizing committee
- Plan for workshop advertising and publicity
- Biography of the main organizer(s) (100-200 words)
