Sorry for the cross posting!

======================================================================================
CALL FOR PAPERS

INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON MOBILITY AND ITS APPLICATIONS
(Technically Sponsored by IEEE/ACM (pending)

To be held in conjunction with the 5th International Wireless Communications
and Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC'09), http://iwcmc.com/

21-24 June, 2009
Leipzig, Germany
======================================================================================

Wireless communication technologies have enabled many of the conveniences in our lives.

Adaptation is the key to mobility. Only through alertness and prompt reactions can a

mobile client offer acceptable services in spite of the many problems that plague its

existence. These include unpredictable variation in network quality, wide disparity in

the availability of remote services, limitations on local resources imposed by weight

and size constraints, concern for battery power consumption, and lower trust and

robustness resulting from exposure and motion. This workshop is intended to foster

state-of-the-art research in the areas of mobility and its applications through a

forum for novel results and solutions to solve various problems and challenges foreseen

in the future. The topical areas covered by this workshop include but are not limited to:

* Mobile/wireless network architectures

* Mobile/location management in wireless networks

* Mobile computing applications/systems

* Energy and power management algorithms and designs for wireless networks

* Routing algorithms and protocols for ad hoc mobile networks

* Design and analysis of topology control algorithms for ad hoc mobile networks

* Context-aware mobile services and applications

* Context-aware protocols and protocol architectures for mobile networks and applications

* Algorithms for mobile computing

* Mobile commerce technologies and applications
