SCOPE:
Original papers on information and coding theory are invited. The diverse
areas of applications such as communications, image/video processing, Quantum
information and data security are also encouraged.
TOPICS:
The symposium solicits original technical papers that were not previously
published and are not currently under review for publication elsewhere.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
1. Coding for noisy channels and erasure channels
2. Source coding and data compression
3. Joint source-channel coding
4. Multi-terminal and network information theory
5. Network coding and coding for multi-terminal systems
6. Cooperation, competition and cognition in wireless networks
7. Information theory in coding with feedback or side information
8. Codes on graphs and lattice codes
9. Belief propagation, survey propagation and related iterative algorithms
10. Application of information and coding theory to signal, image and video processing
11. Application of information and coding theory to compressive sensing
12. Cryptography and information-theoretic and coding-theoretic approaches to data security
13. Information inequalities
14. Quantum information and computation
15. Algebraic coding theory
16. Coding for communications
17. Coding for storage systems
PAPER SUBMISSION:
Note that CHINACOM papers are typically limited to five pages (invited papers are
allowed to 8 pages), including text, figures and references, and must be written in English
and must be in standard double-column format (unless mentioned otherwise on the conference's
main WEB page). The font size must be at least 10 points. All submissions will be handled
electronically and can be submitted in MS Word DOC, Latex PS, or PDF format. The Camera-Ready
must be PDF. Information on best paper awards and other details will be made available on the
CHINACOM 2009 main page (http://www.chinacom.org/2009/).
All submitted papers would be judged based on their quality through a peer-reviewing process.
Accepted papers will be included in the CHINACOM 2009 Conference Proceedings, made available
in IEEExplore Digital Library, and then indexed by Engineering Information (EI). Selected
best and outstanding papers will be considered for internation journal special issues.
Further instructions on paper submission and formatting are available on the Conference Main Webpage.
Paper submission please go through the Cocus System (http://cocus.eu).
