I emailed to you several days ago, calling your attention to the 2009
IEEE Pacific Rim Conference on Communications, Computers and Signal
Processing
(PACRIM '09). I attach a revised version of the CFP. The main change
is that we now extend the conference dates till August 26th (Wed) to
accommodate a three-day technical program, preceded by the registration
and welcome reception on the evening of August 23rd (Sun).
Although we don't explicitly state in the CFP, we will be interested in
good papers in your specialty, i.e., performance modeling and analysis
of computers and networks. As a matter of fact, Dr. Waisum Lai of AT&T
Research is proposing a special session on "Network Performance." If
you are interested in contributing papers in this area, feel free to
contact Waisum. If we get enough papers of high quality, we may form
more than one session on network performance.
If you have any other idea on a session of special interest, may I
suggest that you write a couple of paragraphs soon enough (although the
official due date is March 15), describing the scope and rationale of
the proposed session with a list of four to five experts in the field as
potential speakers (preferably from various countries), and email them
to the co-chairs Prof. Aaron Gulliver at agullive@ECE.UVic.CA and Prof.
Kin Li at kinli@ECE.UVic.CA seeking their initial reaction.
Please Cc to me at hisashi@Princeton.EDU.
Please disseminate the above information and the updated CFP to your
colleagues.
Best regards,
