Call for Paper Proposals

Scope

The 3rd International Conference on e-Democracy with title: "Next Generation Society: Technological and Legal Issues" (eDemocracy2009) will be held in Athens, Greece on 23-25 September 2009. The conference, following the successful history of the previous conferences on e-Democracy, will be a forum for academics, professionals, practitioners and students to present their latest research results, and ideas as regards the technological and legal issues that emerge out of the latest technological developments, and the ways these developments affect the society at political, economic and ethical level.

The conference aims at bringing together technical and theoretical people to discuss, investigate and discover ways in which the technology can be used to assist the modern society, and the way the latter can adapt to and adopt the ICT technologies. Giving emphasis on next generation internet and networking, mobile and ubiquitous computing, the conference targets at highlighting the opportunities, trends, risks, and needs that lead to a Next Generation Society. The conference will include keynote addresses, tutorials, panels, workshops, special, regular and poster sessions. All papers will be peer reviewed. Acceptance will be based on quality, relevance and originality.

Publication

Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and selected papers will be invited to participate (after the necessary enhancements) to the evaluation process for inclusion in special issues of peer reviewed journals.

 

Submission

Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length papers (up to 10 pages) or poster paper (up to 5 pages) proposals for review according to >>the instructions.
Proposals for >>tutorials and workshops, as well as >>demos and work in progress are also welcome.
All submissions must be made on-line and must follow the guidelines given on the web site.

May 10, 2009 (Hard Extension)

Notification of Acceptance:
May 30, 2009

Camera ready paper submission:
June 20, 2009

Authors registration:
June 30, 2009
