-----------------------------------

The PhD & Work in progress Forum provides a friendly and supportive
environment for doctoral students and young researchers to present and
discuss their on going research both with their peers and with a group
of experienced researchers from academia and industry. In addition to
providing feedback and advice, this forum will provide an opportunity
for students and young researchers to network as well as to practice
presenting their research clearly and concisely.

Format:

This year's PhD & Work in progress Forum will be a session event
consisting of short student presentations, discussion, followed by
posters and discussion. Each participant will have time allotted for a
flash presentation as well as an in-depth and constructive discussion
during the poster session. The event will conclude with the selection
of the best work presented.

Submission:

Submissions should consist of the following

1. A summary of the research (up to 3 pages) including a brief
discussion of motivation, challenges, related work, and initial
results. Applicants should clearly identify their contributions to the
field of the conference.

2. A short biographical sketch (1 page max) describing the applicants
affiliations and research activities.

Authors should follow the style formatting guidelines for WoWMoM
papers. Submissions should be sent in PDF format to

phd-wip-forum-wowmom09@ics.forth.gr

If accepted, the author may be asked to provide explanations or
