MOTIVATION:
The evolution of organizations' behaviours and business architectures
from their natural to digital forms and the increasing impact of the
information and communication technologies (ICTs) on every facet of
socio-economic activities are creating new possibilities for business
and commerce. Support of this evolution requires convergent, adaptive
and interoperable environments that can sustain and aid social
networking, business needs and market trends. The event intends to
discuss the intersection of electronic commerce, the evolution of
business models, the increased liquidity of competition through
increased availability of information, and the impact internet redesign
for the existing and future businesses.
To this end, we solicit original ideas high-quality research and
position papers that analyse and discuss innovative business models, new
forms of enablement for digital businesses, community-centric
technologies and their role in business as well as cutting edge future
internet research with the focus on the socio-economic aspects of these
developments.

TOPICS:
DigiBiz 2009 covers all aspects related to digital businesses and their
enablement today and in the future, including, but not limited to, the
following:
new (digital) business models;
new forms of business strategy evaluations; models for evaluating value
chain dynamics; economic modeling of new technical architecture
propositions; business-driven system design; case studies on new and/or
successful digital businesses; socio-economic impacts of new future
internet approaches.

Contributions presenting new results in research within these areas are
sought. Submissions that propose challenging and novel positions that
point out new directions are also solicited.

SUBMISSION and PROCEEDINGS:
All submitted papers would be judged based on their quality through a
peer-reviewing process.
The length of submitted articles varies according to the three types of
position papers; Standard Papers (10 pages), Short Papers (4
pages) and Work-In-Progress Papers (2 pages). Accepted papers will be
included in the DIGIBIZ 2009 Conference Proceedings, made available in
IEEExplore Digital Library, and a paper-based ICST publication.
Best papers will be selected for publication in the ICST and Springer
Verlag joint Lecture Notes series (LNICST).
