SCOPE:
International Workshop on Communication Technologies for Vehicles (Nets4Cars) provides an international forum on the latest technologies and researches in the field of intra-, inter-vehicle communications (protocols and standards), mobility and traffic models (models, methodologies, and techniques), testing, and applications. Further, the overview of ongoing projects and future predictions are of specific interests.
Authors are invited to submit papers presenting new research related to the theory or practice of intelligent transportations systems (ITS) and vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs) in the framework of the following main topics (not limited to):
• vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-roadside, vehicle-to-Internet communication protocols;
• intra-vehicle communications;
• mobility and vehicular traffic models;
• information collection and dissemination;
• analytical and simulation techniques;
• experimental systems and field operational testing;
• safety and non-safety related applications;
• recent standardization efforts and problems (e.g. 802.11p);
• overview of the activities and status of the ongoing projects;
• deployment strategies and predictions.
The workshop proceedings will be published in IEEE Xplore (approved) and indexed in relevant databases. Authors of selected outstanding papers will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers for consideration of publication in a Special Journal Issue.
PAPER SUBMISSION:
Authors are invited to submit full papers in English of not more than 8 pages (including figures, tables & references) in IEEE double-column format. Submissions must present original work that has not been previously published, and is not under submission elsewhere. Submissions should use the general IEEE template with the minimum font size of 10 points. All papers must include a title, complete contact information for all authors, and keywords on the cover page. The corresponding author should be identified clearly.
