October 12, 13, or 14 2009, St.-Petersburg, Russia

The international workshop "Sensing and Acting in Ubiquitous Environments" (SEACUBE'09) provides a forum for practitioners and researchers from diverse backgrounds to discuss the generation and processing of context information in ubiquitous environments. While conference talks typically do not leave much room for interaction, interaction the workshop is intended to provide a broad platform for discussing interesting ideas and research work. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

- Sensing in ubiquitous environments
- Transforming sensor data to context information
- Representing context
- Context-based privacy management
- Activity recognition utilizing context information
- Middleware for context-aware systems
- Context-based routing
- Using context information to select device actions

Accepted papers will be published in IEEE Xplore (approved). Submitted papers must present previously unpublished work which is not currently under review for any other workshop, conference, or journal.
