[Tccc] GridNets 2009 - 3rd Intl Conf on Networks for Grid Applications - Call for Participation

(Our apologies if you receive multiple copies of this message)

Third International ICST Conference on
Networks for Grid Applications

"GridNets 2009" – http://www.gridnets.org

September 8-9, 2009 – Athens, Greece

GridNets (http://www.gridnets.org/) provides a focused and highly
interactive forum where researchers and
technologists have the opportunity to present and discuss leading
research, developments, and future directions in
the Grid networking area. The goal of this event is to serve as both
the premier conference presenting best Grid
Networking research and a forum where new concepts can be introduced
and explored. The conference is organized
by a committee consisting of renowned experts in the field and will be
addressed by a number of high-quality
keynote and invited speakers discussing the most important topics in
Grid Networks and Applications. (Detailed list
provided below.)
In addition to the main conference program, three workshops will be
co-located with the event, each one focusing on
a cutting-edge topic associated with grid networks ("green grids",
"optical grids", and "wireless grids"). The "green
grids" workshop aims at investigating the opportunities and challenges
offered by and within Grid deployments to
reduce energy consumption. The "optical grids" workshop will focus on
the most significant aspects of service
awareness deployment in optical grid infrastructures. The scope of the
workshop on "wireless grids" is to discuss the
key research topics in wireless grids formed by mobile devices such as
mobile phones, wireless sensors, and
netbooks.
The event will be organized at the premises of the Athens Information
Technology center (http://www.ait.edu.gr)

located in the historic city of Athens, Greece.
