[Tccc] MMB & DFT 2010 (Essen, Germany), Second Call

----- MMB & DFT 2010 ---- SECOND CALL FOR PAPERS -------

15th International GI/ITG Conference on

"Measurement, Modelling and Evaluation of Computing Systems"

and "Dependability and Fault Tolerance"

Organized by GI/ITG Technical Committees on

"Measurement, Modelling and Evaluation of Computing Systems (MMB)" and

"Dependability and Fault-Tolerance (DFT)"

MMB & DFT 2010: March 15 17, 2010 in Essen (Germany)

Conference Homepage: www.mmb2010.org <http://www.mmb2010.org/>

The technical committees MMB and DFT are the main fora in Germany covering

all aspects of performance and dependability evaluation of systems including

networks, computer architectures, distributed systems, software,

fault-tolerant and secure systems. In 2010 both committees join forces in a

common conference. MMB & DFT 2010 will start with a half day of tutorials

from scientific and industrial experts; invited talks and tool presentations

will accompany the scientific program. The conference language is English.

Topics of MMB & DFT 2010 include:

QUANTITATIVE EVALUATION TECHNIQUES related to

• Systems including Performance, Dependability, Security, Survivability,

Real-Time, Economic and Related Aspects like Performance-Dependability

Trade-Offs

Submissions:

Full conference papers: Papers must be unpublished and must not be submitted

for publication elsewhere. All papers will be thoroughly reviewed by at

least three referees on the basis of their originality and their scientific

and practical contribution to the state-of-the-art. Accepted papers will

appear in the conference proceedings. Authors should submit full papers (PDF

file, together with abstract) to the Conference System before October 1,

2009. Papers must be written in English and should not to exceed 15 pages

(LNCS style). Final versions of accepted papers will be required by
December 18, 2009.

The proceedings will be published in the Springer series LNCS.

A best paper award will be provided.

Tool descriptions: Special sessions will be arranged to present and

demonstrate tools relevant to any topic covered by the Call for Papers.

Please send a tool description (up to four pages) to the tools chair.

Accepted tool descriptions will appear in the proceedings.

Tutorial proposals: Tutorials in the morning of March 15 preceding the

conference will be organized. Please send tutorial proposals to the

conference chairs.
