Germany (http://inet.cpt.haw-hamburg.de/) is looking for a researcher (PhD
student) in the field of future Internet service architectures for
multimedia
communication. Research work includes developing of related protocols, in
particular hybrid multicast solutions, and prototypic implementations at a
system level.
The research background of the position holders may be on 1) IP multimedia
networking, or 2) P2P overlay networking with relation to the IP
underlay. We
seek highly motivated applicants holding a master degree in computer
science,
electrical engineering, mathematics, or a similar discipline. Candidates are
expected to have a strong background in performance modeling and
quantitative
methods, and hands-on network measurement experience. A plus is related
research project experience. Fluency in written and spoken English is
essential. The employments will be according to the German public
service pay
scale TVL-E13 West for three years.
