Applications are invited to fill a permanent position as newly opened
Professor (W3) in IT Security Infrastructures
at the Department of Computer Science of the School of Engineering as
soon as possible.
The successful applicant will be expected to represent his discipline
both in research and teaching. A concentration on one of the following
areas on security of IT systems is required: security in embedded
systems, security in communication systems, validation of security
concepts, analysis of security vulnerabilities (securing of evidence,
computer forensics). Desirable are own practical experiences in
development and operation of security infrastructures (hard- and
software-based). Willingness to participate in the basic education in
computer science and in other related programs of study is assumed.
Interdisciplinary cooperation in particular with the other departments
of the School of Engineering, the Law School, the School of Medicine,
and the School of Sciences is desired. With respect to research, the
occupied position shall primarily strengthen the main focuses of the
School of Engineering, above all ''Mechatronics and Embedded Systems'',
''Medical Engineering'', and ''Information- and Communication Technology''.
Prerequisites to the job are a university degree, good teaching skills,
a doctorate and additional scientific attainments. The latter are
evidenced by a post-doctoral habilitation or similar academic
qualifications, which may have been attained in specialised fields other
than at a university, or a junior professorship.
