Job Description
===========

With the success of two EU FP7 projects, three Senior/Expert Research
Fellowships are created at Ranplan Wireless Network Design Ltd.
(www.ranplan.co.uk).

The first project concerns HSPA/WiMAX/LTE planning and optimisation and
the application of high performance computing (HPC) in 3G/4G wireless
network planning and optimisation. The second project concerns indoor,
indoor-to-outdoor and outdoor-to-indoor radio propagation, indoor
wireless network design and femtocells.

To apply, you must have a substantial research experience in wireless
communications or computing and be able to write nice programs in C++
etc. You should have strong background and a very good understanding in
one or more of the following areas:

• HSPA/WiMAX/LTE simulation, planning and optimisation
• High performance computing
• Radio network planning tools development
• Excellent skills in propagation modelling using ray tracing/launching,
FDTD etc.
• Optimisation methods

Candidates with industrial wireless network planning and optimisation
experiences are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
=============
• Research in 3G/4G radio network planning and optimisation.
• Development of radio propagation/fading models for indoor,
indoor-to-outdoor and outdoor-to-indoor scenarios.
• Software development in radio network planning and optimisation tools.
