Science & Technology (HKUST) ECE Department in the area of optimization in
wireless networks.
The wireless research lab is engaged in multi-disciplinary cutting edge
research in wireless communications with interference, cross-layer
resource optimization, distributive algorithm design as well as stochastic
optimization and learning. We have strong ties with industry in wireless
communications with projects ranging from theoretical research to applied
research. The position will be contract based (renewable) with attractive
compensation package and good opportunity to engage in both theoretical
and applied research. We would like to invite potential candidates
to apply for the position. There is one vacancy on Postdoc research fellow
in the wireless research lab. Ideal candidate should have the following
attributes:
1. Ph.D. Degree (ECE or Math) in related areas - Wireless Communications,
Interference Mitigation, Operations Research, Delay-Optimal Control of
Wireless Resource, Stochastic Approximation and Learning, Game Theory,
Deterministic NUM and Stochastic NUM.
2. Strong theoretical and mathematical background is a MUST.
3. Strong leadership skills. Able to work independently and be a team
leader for theoretical research as well as applied research projects.
4. Project Management:- Liase and interface with companies from the
industry on various applied research projects.
