Re: [Tccc] Conference costs and ComSoc transparency

Dear colleagues,

I have to say that I did not like some of the post from Virgilio, however I
do not like at all to react by excluding Virgilio from the TCCC list it is
suppose that we are accustom to receive critics from "reviewers" of our
papers and use them to improve our work. Why not use "critics" to improve
conference organization, etc...

I also think that emailing sometimes could be dangerous media since words
can be misinterpreted. I am sure that if we meet Virgilio in some
conferences our point of views are not going to be very different.

Regards to all and Seasons Greatings!

I fully agree with Carlos and support his request. Penalizing someone
(without due process) for challenging the way of working is not the practice
suitable for a society of engineers, quite contrary such discussions should
be encouraged.

Dear Joe

Who decided to unsubscribe Virgilio from the TCCC list? Who is the lawyer,
the prosecutor and the judge? Sorry, but in my opinion, our community must
respect and consider diferente opinions... Could you please show us where we
can find "the boundaries set by the IEEE for appropriate conduct"? Is it an
appropriate conduct to unsubscribe Virgilio? Could you please subscribe
Virgilio again?

Best regards,
Carlos.
