To reiterate a final point:

Virgilio was unsubscribed for his posts with legal implications, as well
as (secondarily) his tone. This was not a reaction to his challenging
our procedures. Consider that no others have been unsubscribed for such
posts.

As to due process, he was warned on numerous occasions, and showed no
indication of an intent to adjust. The decision rests with the TC chair,
as per the BoG policy on emails. There are no specific procedures for
appeals, but they could certainly be made directly to the TAC chair, or
the Comsoc executives. However, some of those individuals were consulted
on this decision.

In summary, I did not make this decision lightly or without
consultation, however the responsibility rests with me. I did so to
encourage *constructive* discourse - which can continue to question
current processes, or challenge our current procedures.

Joe
