Re: [Tccc] Cost of attendance from developing countries / in general

I assume that the majority of us in Tccc is aware that there are
alternatives that are free. But that is not the point. EDAS still
remains, IMO, as *the* best conference mgt tool available. Moreover, it
allows us to keep history per user (TPCs, organizers, papers submitted,
etc), which is great. Not to mention that the majority of us has used
it/is using it, and that it's a tool that is flexible enough to be
changed upon request.

The point that I tried to transmit is that when organizing smaller
events, the EDAS costs become significant. Possibly this is not the case
if we consider an event such as Infocom or Globecom, but for the regular
conferences around, this is something that could be considered.

Still, EDAS costs are peanuts in comparison to the other items that
Henning and others (e.g. Roch) listed or mentioned.
