[Tccc] Post-Doc/Research Engineer position at the CNRS-LaBRI lab., Bordeaux, France

The Networking team of the CNRS LaBRI laboratory located inside the
University of Bordeaux, France, (http://www.labri.fr) is opening a
Post-Doc/Research Engineer position in the field of computer science,
specialized in networking and/or multimedia domains.

The recruited agent will work within the framework of a large European
R&D project (FP7 ICT program), coordinated by LaBRI, based on networked
media for the Future Internet. A large spectrum of domains is targeted
by the project, ranging from low-level networking to multimedia-based
applications, including security, mobility, service composition,
adaptation and interoperability. The objective is to deploy a new type
of Networked Media ecosystem, based on content-aware networking,
network-aware applications, service ubiquity and adaptation toward the
Future Internet. A new architecture based on two novel virtual layers is
aimed to be realised to this end, enabling end-users to take full
benefit of the deployed services, as content consumer but also content
provider and manager.

The work to be done by the future Post-Doc or Research Engineer will be
totally dedicated to the project and it will be articulated around three
axes:

(1) Conception, specification and participation to the development
of the technical solutions;

(2) Deliverables and scientific papers writing;

(3) Participation and contribution to standardization bodies (MPEG,
IETF, ...)

The required competencies are the following:

* Good knowledge and experience of software specification and
development tools, languages and systems (e.g. UML, C/C++, python,
Linux, ...);
* Experience of scientific contributions produced in the fields of
networking and multimedia (around TCP/IP, SIP, RTP, MPEG, ...);
* Experience in writing of valuable scientific papers and technical
deliverables;
* Good English is essential;
* Team work spirit;
* Know-how of participation to national, European and/or
international collaborative projects;
* Know-how of participation to standardization bodies.
