FWIW, we'll be posting additional info on this, but for the list to
consider:
Infocom base registration of 750USD (187USD/day) includes:
4 days of meeting, incl. cont. breakfast, lunches, breaks
(Monday's 'miniconference' and 'work in progress')
a full dinner buffet (our 'reception' is actually a full dinner)
Previous comparisons assumed this was a 3-day cost, and it turned out a
bit higher than comparable meetings (e.g., Sigcomm), but considering the
extent of services, we might even be considered lower cost (Sigcomm 2009
was 450EU = 600USD, or 200USD/day).
Future registration forms will make the extent of services provided more
clear, but this might be useful to consider. This doesn't address all
ComSoc meetings, of course.
