[Tccc] Call for Tutorials - 29th IEEE SRDS

CALL FOR TUTORIALS

29th IEEE International Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems (SRDS 2010)
November 1-3, 2010, IIT Delhi, New Delhi, India

The SRDS 2010 Organizing Committee invites proposals for tutorials to be held in conjunction with the Symposium. Intended tutorial speakers should submit proposals on established or emerging topics to educate and/or provide the necessary technical background on the topic to the intended audience.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Security and privacy issues in wireless ad hoc and sensor networks
* Dependability in autonomic, pervasive and ubiquitous computing
* Support for trustworthy computing in operating systems and databases
* Scalable systems design and issues of trust in social networks
* Internet dependability and quality of service
* Safety-critical systems and critical infrastructures
* Dependability of high-speed networks and protocols
* Fault-tolerance in embedded systems, mobile, and multimedia systems
* Dependable wireless networks and peer-to-peer networks
* Intrusion-tolerant, survivable, and self-stabilizing systems
* Dependability in grid-, cluster-, and cloud computing
* Measurement, monitoring, and prediction in distributed systems
* Analytical or experimental evaluations of dependable distributed systems
* Formal methods and foundations for dependable distributed computing
* Performance and dependability assessing techniques, tools, and results

The proposed tutorials may be either a comprehensive survey on a topic, discuss novel approaches or may discuss successful deployment of tools and techniques.

The typical tutorial will be half-day long (longer tutorials will be considered).

Proposals should be submitted by e-mail in PDF or .doc (not .docx) format to:

* Coverage and description of the tutorial topic and its research context
* Motivations why the tutorial on this topic should be conducted / Benefits to the participants
* Description of the anticipated target group(s) of attendees
* Brief account of the presenter's experience and background
* Length of the proposed tutorial
* Contact information
