*Job Description*

Ranplan Wireless Network Design Ltd. (www.ranplan.co.uk) has a few openings
in radio propagation and HSPA/WiMAX/LTE radio network simulation, planning
and optimisation.

To apply, you must have a substantial research experience in wireless
communications or computing and be able to write nice programs in C++ etc.
You should have strong background and a very good understanding in one or
more of the following areas:

- HSPA/WiMAX/LTE simulation, planning and optimisation
- High performance computing
- Radio network planning tools development
- Excellent skills in propagation modelling using ray tracing/launching,
FDTD etc.
- Optimisation methods

Candidates with industrial wireless network planning and optimisation
experiences are strongly encouraged to apply. For those who have sustabtial
industrial experiences, a doctoral degree is not essential.

The posts need to start as soon as possible. Hence, it is very unlikely that
we will consider those who are doing a PhD.

*Key Responsibilities*

- Research in 3G/4G radio network planning and optimisation.
- Development of radio propagation/fading models for indoor,
indoor-to-outdoor
and outdoor-to-indoor scenarios.
- Software development in radio network planning and optimisation tools.
- Proposal writing
- Project reporting, meeting.
