The goal of CSCN2010 is to disseminate the most recent results in the
development of compressive sensing (CS) in communications and networks. It
will be held in conjunction with the fifth International Conference on
Wireless Algorithms, Systems and Applications (WASA 2010), which will be
organized on August 15-17, 2010, in Beijing, China. Accepted paper will be
published in Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science. EI indexed.

Compressive Sensing (CS), also known as compressive sampling, is a novel
sensing/sampling paradigm that goes against the common wisdom in data
acquisition. CS theory asserts that one can recover certain signals and
images from far fewer samples or measurements than traditional methods. The
crucial observation is that one can design efficient sensing or sampling
protocols that capture the useful
information content embedded in a sparse signal and condense it into a small
amount of data. The goal of this workshop is to disseminate the most recent
results in the development of CS in communications and networks. Researchers
and practitioners working in this area are expected to take this opportunity
to discuss and express their views on the current trends, challenges, and
state of the art solutions addressing various
issues in CS for communications and networks. Review papers on CS are also
welcome.
