[Tccc] Call for submissions for book on "MOBILE SCIENCE"

We are pleased to announce that submissions are now open for contributions for a new open access book on: "Mobile Science" scheduled to be released in November 2010 during a workshop that will take place in Trieste, Italy - see: http://www.mobilescience.net This open access book will be advertised in Universities and Research Institutions world-wide, with a special focus on Developing Countries.

Purpose
-------
The goal of the book is to create awareness on scientific applications of mobile devices by showcasing what has been done in this field. The idea is to show that mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and netbooks can be used to carry out scientific research of excellence. The book will be divided in three parts: 1) sensing 2) computation and 3) science dissemination, using mobile devices. The book will not endorse or sponsor any particular commercial product, service or activity.

Deadline
--------
The deadline for receiving final contributions is set to middle August 2010. Your manuscript should be at least 5 pages long, but no more than 30 pages in total including Figures and References (see Guidelines below).

Contents
--------
In order to strengthen the overall quality of this publication, let us know FIRST if you are interested in contributing to the book indicating some references to learn more on your work in the field and send us a preliminary title. Selected proposals will be announced directly to the Authors at the earliest.

Guidelines for Authors
----------------------

Preparing your contribution
---------------------------
When preparing a contribution, Authors are free to use any standard formatting template for WORD. The format, length (30 pages max), figure requirements, etc to be used, are leave it open and flexible in style. We suggest to use, for example, the publishing template from Cern:

A final uniform format will be done in-house when all contributions will be received and the PDF book is produced. The final layput will look like our previous work:

Below your paper Title and your name, you can add your contact e-mail address for readers to contact you.

Bibliographical references
--------------------------
We only ask you to follows some rules for the list of "References". References should be cited in the text using numbers within square brackets: example [1], example [1, 2], example [1-5], or see Ref. [1], Refs. [1-5].

Terms and definitions

The book will be released under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-NoDerivative Works 3.0 Unported Licence. For more details regarding your rights to use and redistribute the work, see http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/

Costs
-----
There will not be any financial contribution to be given to Authors, nor fees. As an Author, you will receive some copies of the book upon its publication printed in-house. The PDF book will be Open Access free for download.
