[Tccc] CFP:The First IEEE WiMob Workshop on Cooperative Mobile Protocols and Application (CMPA)

Call for Papers - The First IEEE WiMob Workshop on Cooperative Mobile
Protocols and Application (CMPA) in conjunction with IEEE WiMob 2010
(October 11-13, 2010, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada)

Submission Deadline: June 16, 2010

Scope

Cooperative communication has emerged as a promising technique for modern
wireless communication systems. Certain characteristics of mobile
environments create a natural need for nodes to cooperate among themselves
to overcome certain limitations. These characteristics include (1) adverse
channel conditions and lack of resources (in terms of bandwidth) which
necessitate cooperation at the physical layer (2) lack of infrastructure
which creates the need for nodes to cooperate in ad-hoc routing protocols
for example. (3) limited-resource devices which might create a need to
applications to cooperate and distribute computing tasks and share their
excess of processing power. The workshop is seeking papers on on-going
research that involves cooperation in mobile environments at any layer of
the protocol stack. The workshop solicits papers related to but not
limited to the following areas:

. Cooperative Relay selection

. Cooperative MAC design

. Cooperative Routing

. Quality of Service models, resource management, and provisioning

. Transport protocol design for cooperative wireless networks

. Security including security threat models, threat analysis and their
impact on cooperative routing

. Ad Hoc Overlay Network

. Application level protocol design and performance

. Mobile and wireless applications, their service requirements and
performance

. Inter-vehicular network architecture

. Protocols for Cooperation in VANET

Submission Instructions

Authors MUST submit Full papers (not solely abstracts) for review. Only
original papers, neither unpublished nor submitted for publication
elsewhere, can be submitted. The first page should include paper title,
abstract, list of keywords indicating the paper topic area and workshop,
the authors' full names, affiliations and complete addresses, telephone
numbers and e-mail addresses. Maximum paper length is EIGHT printed pages
(10-point font) including figures, graphics and tables. WiMob 2010 will
accept papers that are up to TEN pages in length, but the over-length
papers will be subject to an over-length fee. You can use the standard
IEEE Transactions templates for Microsoft Word or LaTeX formats found at
http://www.ieee.org/portal/pages/pubs/transactions/stylesheets.html . Your
paper must be printable in order to be accepted. WiMob 2010 is using the
EDAS Conference Management System to manage paper submissions process. In
order to submit, you must first create an EDAS account if you do not have
already one. The EDAS system will e-mail you your password. Then you can
login to EDAS using the password you have received by email. EDAS will
provide you with a submissions homepage where you can register your paper
submission and make appropriate changes. Authors can submit their papers
