*** Scope ***
In the last decade, mainly motivated by the increased amount of data
available for empirical studies of networked systems, many research
efforts have contributed to establishing the concept of a network
science to characterize, model, and analyze complex networks. This
special issue is dedicated to capturing the state-of-the-art and the
recent advances on tools and methods for characterizing, collecting,
analyzing, or visualizing complex dynamic networks at different levels.
In this special issue, we will focus on tools and methods for:
-- Gathering data from complex dynamic networks;
-- Characterizing complex dynamic networks;
-- Modelling complex dynamic networks;
-- Analyzing complex dynamic networks;
-- Visualizing complex dynamic networks;
-- Studying multi-layered complex dynamic networks;
-- Analyzing robustness and stability of dynamic networks;
-- Investigating dynamic processes (proliferation, diffusion etc.);
-- Analyzing ubiquitous (cross-modal) social networking.
*** Important Dates ***
-- Paper submission: 18-02-2011
-- Acceptance notification: 20-05-2011
-- Final papers due: 17-06-2011
*** Submission Format ***
The submitted papers must be clearly written in excellent English and
describe original research which is not published nor currently under
review by other journals or conferences. Papers must not exceed 25 pages
(one-column, at least 11pt fonts) including figures, tables, and
references. Author guidelines for preparation of manuscript can be found
at http://www.elsevier.com/locate/comnet
*** Submission Guidelines ***
All manuscripts and any supplementary material should be submitted
through Elsevier Editorial System (EES). The authors must select as
"Special Issue: Complex Dynamic Networks" when they reach the "Article
Type" step in the submission process. The EES website is located at:
