Research Position in Sensor Data Management and Cloud Computing

The Intelligent Systems Centre (IntelliSys) is a research centre
jointly set up by the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the
Singapore Technologies Engineering (ST Engineering).

We are starting a new research project to develop a sensor data
management framework for a cloud computing environment that supports
techniques for privacy preserving data sharing and analytics. For
this project, we are inviting applications for the following research
position.

1. Research Fellow

Responsibilities :
* Conduct research on the design of the sensor data management
framework that integrates heterogeneous real-time sensor data
from various large-scale sensor network deployments in Singapore.
* Design and implement the middleware services of the sensor data
management framework on a commercial cloud computing environment.
* Help to implement techniques for privacy preserving data sharing
and analytics.

Requirements :
* A PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical
Engineering, or related fields. Candidates with post-doctoral
researce experience are preferred.
* Substantial research expertise in one or more of the following
areas: sensor networks, cloud computing, sensor data management,
service-oriented architecture, semantic web and ontology design.
* Excellent experience in developing system software.
* Excellent hands-on experience in platform technologies such as
web services, Hadoop, Microsoft Dallas and Azure, etc.
* Excellent programming skills in C/C++, Java, etc.
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

* Innovative, resourceful and self-motivated.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
