The QU Wireless Innovations Center (QUWIC), Doha, Qatar, invites
applications for a full-time Research Scientist (Postdoc Fellow) in the
field of cooperative wireless networking. The successful candidate will
be working on a new 3 year joint research project between QUWIC,
American University of Beirut (AUB), and Lebanese American University
(LAU). The expected start date is Sept/Oct 2010.
Job Qualifications:
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer
Science by the time of appointment. Key job requirements include:
--- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
--- Ability to work independently
--- A strong background and research record in at least one of the
following areas:
-- Optimization for Communications and Networking
-- Cooperative Communications
-- Energy Aware Protocol Design for Wireless Networks
-- Multimedia Streaming over Wireless Networks
-- Wireless Network Experimental Testbed Implementation (Bluetooth,
WLAN, HSPA, etc.)
--- Prior industry experience is an asset
