CALL FOR PAPERS[ICUMT-Workshop-36]
The conference proceedings (including workshops) will be published in IEEE Xplore (approved) and indexed in relevant databases. Selected best

and outstanding papers will be considered for international journal special issues.

Theme:
Distributed Video Coding (DVC) (a particularization of Distributed Source Coding) adopts a completely different coding paradigm by giving the

decoder the task to exploit the source statistics to achieve efficient compression, instead of the deterministic approach of conventional

coding techniques such as MPEG-x and H.26x standards. DVC offers a number of potential advantages. Its coding paradigm is particularly adequate

to emerging applications such as wireless video cameras and wireless low-power surveillance networks, disposable video cameras, medical

applications, sensor networks, multi-view image acquisition, networked camcorders, error-resilient multimedia communication, content

authentication, or blind compression of encrypted data, etc. This workshop is organized with the objective of bringing together researchers of

this area to present and discuss their latest research results and ideas, thereby promoting the development and evolution of DVC. All

submissions on DVC codec architecture, design, implementation and are welcomed.

Topics of interest:
Topics of interest include but are not limited to
●design, architecture and Implementation
●Coding Algorithm
●Coding efficiency improvement
●Rate Control algorithm
●Channel statistical modeling and channel coding
●Joint source-channel coding
●Decoding algorithm
●Estimation algorithm of Side Information
●Side information generation
●Motion estimation match-criterion and algorithm
●DVC for error resilience
●DVC-based scalable coding
●multi-view and/or 3D DVC
●Complexity analysis and reduction
●other applications

Paper submission guideline:
The papers should be submitted as a PDF file through EDAS system (http://edas.info/). The maximum size of papers should be 5000 words including

tables and figures, and not exceed 6 pages. The cover page must contain an abstract of about 150 words, 3-5 keywords, name and affiliation of

author(s) as well as the corresponding author's email and postal address. Before submitting the paper, authors must ensure that their papers are

prepared in IEEE proceedings style. All papers will be reviewed and accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings, published in

IEEE Explore (approved).Selected best papers will appear in a journal special issue.Template and instructions on how to create your paper,
