[Tccc] Call for Papers: Special Issue on "Physical Layer Security in Mobile Devices and Networks"

Call for Papers
International Journal of Security and Communication Networks (SCN)
Special Issue on "Physical Layer Security in Mobile Devices and Networks"
http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/114299116/home

The convergence of information and communication technology is most
palpable in the form of intelligent mobile devices, accompanied by the
advent of converged, and next-generation, communication networks. As
mobile communication and information processing becomes a commodity,
the economy and society require protection of this precious resource.
Typically, various communication systems arise now, such as DVB-H
based mobile broadcasting, WiMax based home networks, wireless sensor
networks, etc. And, the security and privacy in some of the
communication systems are still open issues, which are attracting more
and more researchers.

Conventional cryptographic security protocols have been widely used
for secure communication except the physical layer. Physical layer is
the basic of a communication system, and its security is critical for
the system's security. Physical layer security is an emerging field of
research that has seen an explosion of research in the past few years.
Especially, with the rise of various network convergences, it becomes
more and more urgent.

This special issue aims to collect the contributions by leading-edge
researchers from academia and industry, show the latest research
results in the field of physical security in mobile devices and
networks, and provide valuable information to researchers as well as
practitioners, standards developers and policymakers.

This special issue will focus on the research challenges and issues in
physical security in mobile devices and networks. The manuscripts
covering the novel algorithms, architectures, implementations and
experiences are welcome. The topics include but not limited to

• Shout to secure theory and methods
• Secure communication with interference
• Physical-layer encryption for optical communication
• Secret communication over physical channel
• Securing access points
• Securing wireless links (in network convergence)
• Secure RFID communication
• Secure Machine-to-machine communication
• Authentication and Authorization
• Identification and Privacy protection
• Embedded security
• Trusted mobile devices
• Trusted computing platform
• Hardware system security
• Trusted computing standard
• Eavesdropper and wiretap
• Secrecy detection and cognition
• Cross-layer security and protection
• Security of mobile/wireless application system
• Homeland security systems and methods
• Real time implementation of security methods

Technical papers describing original, previously unpublished research,
not currently under review by another conference or journal, are
solicited.

Submission
Concerning the preparation of the manuscript, please refer to the
"Instructions for Authors" page at the journal website,
http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/114299116/home/ForAuthors.html.
Further, the manuscript must be submitted through the online
submission system: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/scn by selecting
the corresponding track. When submitting papers, the authors should
identify "Manuscript Type" as "Special Issue", enter "Running Head" as
"SCN-SI-021" and "Special Issue Title" as "Physical Security,
respectively. Contributing authors might also be asked to review some
of the papers submitted to this special issue. All papers will be
rigorously reviewed based on the quality: original, high scientific
quality, well organized and clearly written, sufficient support for
assertions and conclusion, appropriate title, abstract includes
important points of the paper, satisfactory English, pertinent
references, clear tables and figures.
