[Mycolleagues] OIPE 2008 workshop

Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the International Steering Committee and the Local
Organising Committee we are happy to invite you to the 10th Workshop on
Optimization and Inverse Problems in Electromagnetism (OIPE 2008) which
will be held at Ilmenau (Germany) September 14 to 17, 2008.

The aim of the workshop is to discuss recent developments in
optimization and inverse methodologies and their applications to the
design and operation of electromagnetic devices. It is intended to
establish with the workshop an occasion where experts in
electromagnetics and other areas (e.g. engineering, mathematics,
physics, etc.), involved in research or industrial activities, can
discuss on the theoretical aspects and on the technical relevance of
optimization and inverse problems, in the general framework of the
innovation in electromagnetic methods and applications. Thus, the
workshop will offer a platform for the exchange of information and
experience of developments, trends and applications from both industrial
and theoretical view points.

Previous editions were held in Pavia/Italy (1989), Warsaw/Poland (1992),
Geneva/Switzerland (1994), Brno/Czech Republic (1996), Jyvaskyla/Finland
(1998), Torino/Italy (2000), Lodz/Poland (2002), Grenoble/France (2004)
and Sorrento/Italy (2006).

which includes the Call-for-Papers. We invite you to submit a paper to
the OIPE 2008 workshop. The workshop language will be English.

Authors are encouraged to submit a two-page digest. Please note the
deadlines for:

* Digest: March 31, 2008
* Full paper: September 17, 2008

Online submission is required and can be done via the OIPE 2008 Workshop
web page www.OIPE2008.org (templates for preparing the papers will be
available on the web page).

Please visit the workshop website (www.OIPE2008.org ) from time to time
and check for updates.

Whereas the digests will be published in the workshop proceedings
available at the workshop, a selected number of papers will be published
(after a peer reviewing procedure) in:

* The International Journal for Computation and Mathematics in
Electrical and Electronic Engineering (COMPEL), (in issue 5, 2009)
* International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics
(IJAEM), (in 2009)
* International Journal of Bioelectromagnetism (IJBEM), (online)
