[Tccc] ViSim: A User-Friendly Visual Simulation Demonstration Tool for MANET Routing Protocols

Dear Colleagues:

We are pleased to announce that we are developing a user-friendly simulation
demonstration tool; ViSim. ViSim is built to make comparisons among various
Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) routing protocols. ViSim runs ns-2 simulations
in the background and it is easily usable in Windows environment (without
any need of cygwin or VMware and faster in performing simulations).

We are planning to make some portions of ViSim source code open to all so
that different parameters in different network scenarios can be modified
based on the requirements. In that case, a user needs to have some knowledge
of .tcl scripting and any change in the files will change the output of
simulation. Though the sample figures may not be like the given
specifications, the users will have the choice to do their own simulations
with five comparison options. Also, after simulation, the users can plot
their own graphs using ViSim. Our tool could be useful for the naive users,
students, teachers, and researchers for simulation demonstration. *Currently
the beta release, ViSim 1.0 is available for download and installation in
your PC.*

*Enjoy ViSim!* .... our effort to make the task of visual simulation easier.
Please keep an eye on the website for latest updates!!
