Dear Virgilio,

Being a professor at a publicly funded university, I am certainly
concerned with how our resources are used. However I regret that I cannot
be fired up over the discussion on conference economics: there are far
more important concerns to address at the university in order to be
conscientious about spending tax payers' money.

Certainly, and that is not my point. My point is that it can be handled
off the list (post a summary when you are done).

I would be more interested in the financial models of non-IEEE and non-ACM
organizations that are behind a considerable amount of the CFP stream.
IEEE is open and transparent in comparison to, say, ICST.
